The Rigger Training Course means that the participants are provided with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform the lifting, rigging, and the load-handling tasks in the industrial areas safely. This course gives a good mastery of rigging equipment, safe lifting devices, load calculation and communication strategy when carrying out the lifting activities.
The trainees get to understand recognizing hazards, choosing the right rigging equipment, inspecting equipment, and working productively with crane operators and lifting groups through a combination of classroom instruction with practical activities. The program focuses on adherence to global standards including OSHA, LOLER, and ASME, which makes those involved in the program to be trained to match with the international standard in the industry.
Participants will be able to:
Know codes of rigging, lifting and load control.
Name the various rigging equipment and the safe uses of the equipment.
Carry out inspections on slings, hooks, Shackles and lifting gear.
Divide the load weight, center of gravity and safe working load (SWL).
Weekend courses are usually 1-3 days, and based on the level (Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced).
A successful completion of both theory and practical examinations rewards the participant to obtain a Rigger Certification.
